Post Aarya -- "Buy it, you'll like it" on Wed Apr 11, 2007 10:07 pm

Everybody I know that sees "Aarya" watches it more than once. The first time they see it. Mr. Ratnavelua's cinematography is captivating.

Mr. Arjun is a director's dream: displays emotions, has great timing, sings and dances, has a small frame and a "big" ego. And his ego (self assurance-smile) helps Mr. Arjun pull better performances from the weaker actors. Ms. Mehta holds her own as well as the leading lady. Ms. Anuradha Mehta's facial expressions have definitely mastered the phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words".

If you don't know if you want to buy it; then, rent it from your library at first then you'll purchase it. If your library doesn't have it, bug 'em until they get it. It's worth hassling them about purchasing "Aarya".

I'd rated Aarya a 4.9 (out of 5). 4.9 because we (Americans) will have to read the subtitles to get the meaning from the songs. But, ignorance is not bliss with this movie. The lyrics are great and reminds us (Americans) of what songs are suppose to be about-- as opposed to the lyrics from the rap music we've been listening to this past decade. Buy it, you'll like it"!!!!!
