Plot / Movie Story / Movie Review
A National Integration movie, Khadgam depicts how people from all religions come together to throw away those who want to disturb the country by creating communal differences and chaos The movie also shows the true love and affection of Indian Muslims towards India and their living conditions in the country. The story largely is related with three characters - Amjab Bhai (Prakash Raj), Radha Krishna (Srikant) and Koti (Ravi Teja).
The movie begins with the depiction of the title song and few scenes at Charminar, the iconic symbol of Hyderabad. Azhar Bhai, a terrorist who got trained in Pakistan reaches Hyderabad, India via Duabi to rescue one of their leader who was captured during an operation in Hyderabad. He lands in the house of his younger brother Amjad Bhai, an auto driver and an ardent muslim. Honest Amjad Bhai has good national feelings and strongly believes that India is a country belonging to Muslims too and that they are on par with Hindus. However he is unaware that Azhar Bhai is a terrorist. Azhar makes believe every one that he escaped to Dubai where he worked there for two years and has returned home to see Amjab and his mother. He ensures that his identity is not revealed to anyone
On the other hand, Radha Krishna is a serious cop who lost Sangeetha (Sonali Bendre), his lover during a mission in which a muslim terrorist is captured. Sangeetha is a journalist and the daughter of police commissioner. Because RK lost his lover, he builds up a strong hatred towards Pakistani terrorists in the country. He brings Amjad Bhai for interrogation where the later gives some interesting and inspiring dialogues that say that most people have the misconception that muslims are terrorists. A common friend Brahmaji makes truce however Brahmaji has to leave his home and join the army services for a border operation leaving his wife who just turned pregnant in the hands of the three heros.
Koti is a film industry aspirant looking for a film opportunity and works hard for that. His goal in life is to become a big film star and be called the 'Babu' of filmdom. He kidnaps a film producer and forces him to watch his acting abilities. The inspired film producer gives Koti a chance to act. The movie turns into a hit and Koti becomes a successful actor at the end of the story.
The climax scene brings the three prime actors on one roll. Amjad Bhai, having to come to know that Azhar Bhai is a terrorist and anti-India prays to police to kill him. The movie ends with Azhar Bhai kills and a powerful train blast is avoided.
